Packaging Datasheets for Film, Label and Thermal Paper Buyers
A datasheet should help procurement, engineering, and quality teams compare real specifications before they approve samples or repeat orders. This page lists the information to request when sourcing BOPP film, PET film, thermal paper, labels, and flexible packaging roll materials.
What a useful datasheet should include

| Tensile strength and elongation | Helps compare film and label materials under converting, printing, packing, or application stress. |
| Surface treatment | Corona treatment, coating, matte finish, white grade, and metallized surface affect printing, lamination, and sealing. |
| Adhesive and release liner | For labels, adhesive type, coat weight direction, liner type, peel strength, and application surface all affect performance. |
| Storage and documents | Storage guidance, shelf-life notes, food-contact documents, SGS/RoHS reports, or batch documents may be needed for approval. |
Datasheet request by product family
Request thickness, haze, gloss, COF, corona value, sealability, roll width, core diameter, winding direction, and target application.
Request micron thickness, grade, surface treatment, tensile strength, heat resistance, clarity or metallized option, roll specification, and packing method.
Request GSM, caliper, image sensitivity, top-coat need, width, jumbo roll diameter, core diameter, storage requirement, and converted roll target.
Request face stock, adhesive type, release liner, die-cut size, roll direction, application surface, temperature range, and printing process.
Request film structure, pouch or roll-stock format, thickness, seal layer, barrier target, print colors, finish, zipper or valve need, and export packing.
Request paper grade, basis weight, coating, grease resistance, size, converting process, food-contact document need, and packing method.
Before asking for a quote
- Send the application and product contents, not only the material name.
- State exact size, width, thickness, GSM, roll length, or pouch dimensions where available.
- List printing, lamination, sealing, die-cutting, or dispensing equipment constraints.
- Confirm whether the buyer needs sample rolls, lab samples, compliance documents, or production batch documents.
- Include destination country and preferred export packing method when freight planning matters.
